Providing a Support Group "Clearing House"

Since its founding in 1918, the Mental Health Association (MHA) of the Cincinnati Area has advocated for improved care for the mentally ill and promoted good mental health for all. MHA is a nonprofit organization serving Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton and Warren counties in Ohio. It is one of 340 nationwide affiliates of the National Mental Health Association.

MHA provides education, advocacy and coordination of services through a variety of programs. The MHA maintains a searchable comprehensive listing of support groups for persons with mental health needs. Select 'Children' to access specific information about support groups for children.

Al-Anon is for adults and Alateen is for teenagers. There are no dues or fees and they are not allied with any treatment agency, faith, or organization. Alanon/Alateen is for family members or friends of people with drug or alcohol problems and will provide support and guidance. The person with the drug/alcohol problem does not have to be in A.A., N.A. or in treatment.
